The practical, no-fuss option
A plain epoxy coating is one solid colour: no flake, no metallic effect. It seals dusty concrete, makes spills easier to wipe up, and brightens a space that's been living with grey, stained slab for years.
It's a practical choice for workshops, sheds, storerooms and plant rooms, and a clean base for commercial floors that need line marking or safety zones over the top. Because it's smooth, grip can be added to the finish in areas that get wet or oily.
Plain doesn't mean skipping steps. The slab is still ground and repaired so the coating bonds properly. Without that, a solid colour will peel just like any other finish.

Open the surface up and fill cracks and chips so the coating bonds to sound concrete.

What colours does plain epoxy come in?
Greys are the most common because they hide dirt and suit workshops and garages, but other solid colours are available too. Tell us how the space is used and the look you want, and we'll talk through the options.
Plain epoxy or flake: which should I get?
Plain suits spaces where practicality comes first and you want a clean, even colour. Flake hides dust and marks better and has more texture underfoot, so it's usually the pick for a home garage. We can walk you through both at the quote.
Will a coating stop my concrete dusting?
Yes, and that's one of the main reasons people get one. Bare concrete sheds a fine dust as its surface wears. Sealing it with a coating stops that and makes the floor much easier to sweep and mop.
Is a plain epoxy floor slippery?
A smooth coating can be slippery when it's wet or oily. Where that's a risk, anti-slip aggregate can be added to the finish so there's grip underfoot without making the floor hard to clean.
